VC'07

Anyway, Victoria Challenge, a once in 4 yrs 24 hr event, started yesterday and ended today.

Opening ceremony...cool... Us red shirts do stand out...

popping of the GIANT party poppers to signal the opening for VC2007

My class 4E is embarking on the MOST ambitious project---to paint the amphitheatre with a HUGE banner, the one seen outside the school. Although it's no where near the scale of painting the grandstand, but according to Mr Low, our principal, our challenge was the biggest in scale.

Although its "just painting" many calculations were needed for the challenge as it was not a matter of purely installing the picture onto the walls of the amphitheatre. The seats of the amphitheatre are curved in such a way that the length of the first row and the last row is 6 metres in difference. Therefore we had to estimate some of the "uncalculable" stuff and it was like frigging difficult.

So our plan was to first whitewash the amphitheatre, then coat the steps with as many layers of yellow paint as we can afford to.

Ben chionging first layer of yellow paint.. i'm the red shirt in the top right...

Danial eye-powering after chionging the forth row....

After "yellowashing" the amphitheatre, we cracked our brains on how to do the rest of the logos, crests and the drawings. We decided that the best course of work is to borrow a laptop and a projector and project the drawings onto the steps. It all seems like a very good solution. PROBLEM: its too frigging bright!!!! we can't see the images projected by the projector. Wad do we do? -STONE-

Not until someone came up with the idea of borrowing canvas to block the sunlight did we start moving. Woots. Tought it was going to proceed smoothly from then on. However too many cooks spoil the broth. Some of the 'extra' people there began to feel bored then started playing. In the end, one of the more expensive tins of paint was spilt. Wtf man.

However after that most people started making themselves useful and started contributing to the painting of the logos and crests. Not until 7 did we have a good rest . Me, andrew, han hao, yenriel, wilson, mu yao and er pei went to cathay to watch Harry Potter and the Ootp, while the rest of them rested. HPATOOTP wasn't too bad a movie. 5 stars for the CG effects but 2.5 for the content.Luna lovegood's damn HOT! so is emma watson...

everyone gone for dinner... looks like constuction site lol

Oh ya i also lost my watch during painting... the thief damn funny got my cash, handphone, ez link, he chose to take my watch....despo for watch sia...

So when we came back, we started touching up while the others played mahjong and cards... they watched transformers also...

So at around 5 am in the morn this was our result

Damn nice right? but there was still a long way to go... touching up and all that...

In the end we did manage to finish, but only barely...

Through this VC, stronger bonds were forged between the already stronger-than-marcomolecular-bond bonds. Andrew, Kwok cheung, Justin, Jorven, Ben, Jon, Han Hao, Er Pei, Wilson, Mu Yao, Yenriel, Ryan, the malay boys etc etc(sry if i missed you out). We are like an unbreakable fortress now, after the numerous obstacles we faced these two days. 4E'07 forever!

Now, finally i can get my well deserved rest, get enough sleep for tmr's speech day... Update tmr bah... tata!
