Red Shirt!!!!!

ok this is going to be a damn long post so.... here goes...

OK first of all, i'm back from CIC... It's damn fun, i can tell you, damn fun... Severe sunburns here and there, but not enuf for me to regret going for this camp...
The whole thing is damn long and i don't want to waste time and since most of the time i spent in CIC was with linus, i hereby quote his whole post...
"I'm back from LTC. Rejoice.

Yeah.

First day of LTC was pretty tough. Got sorted into group Martelo, along with Dexter, Pei Xiang, Danial and Hin Kai. Had to carry all the bags, plus the logs and other shizzy-wizzy down to the big field at East Coast Park. Thankfully, I am quite as weak as a kitten strong so I managed to drag the bags all the way there.

Then hell started.

Our group did the Water Expedition first, which basically involved a Water Confidence Course, then...sailing in some crap-ass raft/float thingy to the meeting point. David sucks as a rudderman ( if there is such a way ) so we veered way off course.

And as I would come to find out, David sucks, period. Even my brother is more mature than him. I'm not kidding. David's such a big guy, but his SHEER immaturity is sickening. It seems impossible to be -that- immature.

Then again, he hangs out with Matthew and Justin. Which speaks for itself.

Oh yeah, one more unhappy thing.

I'm taking Core Literature aka I got my subject combination.
But, Maxi chee bong is in my class.
I kid you not, when I saw the subject combination list, searched for my subject combination (2G) and saw Maximilian Wong next to one of them, I was seriously screaming the F-word in my mind. And it wasn't free.

Ok anyways, back to the camp ma-bob.

After struggling to bitch-slap some sense into StupiDavid, we finally got to shore, beached, then had to complete a challenge to rescue our "desperately drowning Red Shirt" who was Brian Lim. Or Bryan Lim. Whichever. Surprisingly, we came in first, because we had all along been soundly beaten by far by Thomas Beckwith's ( Sec 3 Red Shirt ) team.

Land Expedition was Hell. 23 people struggling to carry the over-packed, over-laden bags of 42 people is no joke. Carried 4 bags, and stumbled along with Hin Kai. Halfway through the journey, we had to go back to help the sedan-carriers, and a very grumpy and pissed off Miss Sheikha.

Then it rained.

Bloody hell.

In the end, Danial, Dexter, Mervin and I grabbed our bags and just stormed to the campsite. The entire journey took us about 6 hours, and we were late by about 2 hours.

The bunks were surprisingly nice. Got a corner sleeping spot, although there were quite a few ants, but gotta take the good with the bad. Unfortunately, Mervin had to join group Armada along with Jin Meng, so he didn't come along with us. Poor him. At least he had Li Zhi, Fadhil and Nawawi for entertainment.

Lunch was very nice, very very nice. Or I could have just been damn hungry. Considering my usually-high standards, I would go with the latter.

Rock-climbed and Belayed after that. Not exactly bad at Rock-Climbing, at least I REACHED THE TOP coughcoughMERVINcoughcough. My Belaying almost killed Danial though. No no, do not despair, there will be other chances to rid the world of him oops I mean, damn, I'm sorry.

Btw, I'm using Danial's blog as a memory guide to jog my memory since I"m listening to music, talking to Sophie Chew and Vincent Ooi on MSN, all at the same time

WAR GAMES after dinner rocked. Rocked. ROCKED.

Played 2 rounds of Gauntlet, my team compromising of Danial, Dexter, David, Pei Xiang, Andrew and others whom I cannot remember now. Won both games, forcing the other team to retreat and hide since everytime some of them ran out, we'd just shoot the living crap out of them with our uber-cool laser guns o' doom.

Unfortunately, even if they hid, Danial and I found a way to snipe at them anyway. Yeah.

When it was our turn, we had a much more effective strategy. As we had to find 10 numbers amongst at least 25~30 numbers strewn upside on the floor, Danial, Pei Xiang and I all ran out to grab as many numbers as we could. Turns out that we managed to grab 9 out of 10 members, and it cost us about 6 lives total ( each person having 10 lives ).

They figured out how to snipe at us too, which led Danial to lose about...8 lives, others to lose quite a lot and Nikko/Niko/Nico and David to scream bloody murder.

Then, once the last digit, a 7, had been grabbed, we were suppose to run out and place our respective numbers in their respective positions. Except, the ones in charge of number position 1 and 2, Hin Kai and Chun Yong respectively, had been GUNNED TO DEATH BANG BANG BANG. Which meant that I had to place the three numbers ( theirs and mine ).

Which wouldn't have been much of a problem, since I had three lives, I can run pretty fast and there's a lag/cooldown time of 3 seconds before another shot registers and you lose a life.

Except when I ran out, I got shot, and went down to 3 lives. Then Thomas ( Beckwith ) said that I was dead, so I walked back. Then I got shot again, and was down to 2 lives. Then Thomas was like "Oh no, you're still alive." So I was like "Darn you.", and got shot again as I ran out to put all three numbers. The last number barely left my hand before I got assassinated. Well, not really assassinated. But if it had been real bullets, I would have died of about...oh, 67 gunshots?

Anyways, the rest of the guys decided to use the decoy method, sacrificing themselves to let Danial and Dexter place the numbers and win the game.

After which, we switched to Free-For-All.

Sorry, did I say Free-For-All, I meant, Camplikeshit.

Broke up into two groups in our tribes. Won both games by shooting down all the opposition. The 2nd game was particularly hilarious, Pei Xiang screaming "CHIONG AH", running solo and crashing into a bench and falling down. I ran to the back of the opposing team and proceeded to shoot them like free ala Backstab while Danial and Dexter provided a distraction. I had 3 lives when I ran, once the opposing team "died", I was down to 2 lives. Then I walked around asking "Am I dead? Am I dead?" until I really was laser'd to death.

Long story short (oops too late ), our team won our games, unfortunately, the other team in our tribe losing once. But since the other half of our tribe who had switched over to Gauntlet won all their games, we ended up winning 9/10 of the games.

Slept around...12, to the pleasant sounds of airplanes ROARING above with their deafening engines. Woke up because Thomas and Nico were talking, or humping, each others, then abruptly fell asleep. Woke up about...6 times during the night, before finally getting out of bed at 6 and going to bathe.

Capoeira in the morning was a huge surprise. Learnt it quite fast, and it really is a nice sport.

Rained after lunch, so kayaking was cancelled. Spent the time playing cards and talking. Had a reflection session and a cheering session.

Ah hell, the 2nd day was boring as hell.

OH NO WAIT. WATERMELON SOUP. Well, not soup, more like crap.

Ms Sheikha, Mr Siow and Mr Amir drank the soup ( we all did, was pretty nice ).

Nightwalk after that, the first group to go. Had...David, Hin Kai, Joshua ( Band ) and Wilnard in my group. Got gagged, Joshua too, David and Wilnard being blinded. Had all our feet tied together too.

Walking through the toilet was pretty creepy. All the shrieking, made by Kwang Yi and Firdaus sounded like boys being castrated with boiling oil or something, pretty scary.

Oh damn, 10.41, and I've not been sleeping well for the past few days because I'm confined to CIC. Gotta be at school at 7 for LTC tomorrow. Better cut things a bit short.

Capoeira for the 3rd morning too.

Kayaked after that in a Gemini with Danial. Pretty fun stuff.

General Stations + Challenge Pole after that. General Stations were pretty fun, especially the Rope swinging on, Nitro Crossing?

Dexter fell down the first time, so we had to restart. Then after we got to the last person, he swung across, and SOMEHOW OR ANOTHER, I saw Danial go flying back out clinging to the rope. And everyone was like "WHAT THE HELL?", including Danial himself. Almost had that round voided because someone stepped out of the platform, but it was later "passed over".

Spiderweb game was sooo...I dunno..ew.

But the tyre thing was fun.

Challenge Pole was really scary though. I have severe acrophobia, so I'm scared of heights. First time I went up there, I was shaking like crazy, so I thought "Hell, let's just jump."

I stepped forward, slipped on the rounded portion of the pole and proceeded to fall off in a very unglam manner. Thank god for good belaying. Tried again later, this time, I jumped, but it certainly wasn't my best. I dunno, I could have grabbed that pole, I could have, but I was just damn scared. I think...I was scared of grabbing the pole...For some reason, I was scared of being able to grab that pole...

I dunno...

Campfire night was exciting, quite a few low spots here and there, but fun overall. Maestro Silvano, Lina and Harto came as guests and we formed a hado, the ring of people in Capoeira games, and started singing the songs. Then two people were chosen to start playing the game, I mean, demostrate the game. Said two people were me and Danial. We demostrated, then the rest of our tribe and the other tribe ran out two at a time, played for a while then ran back to let another group go. Then we formed a hado and began to sing the songs. And then the real fun began.

After a while, I began to try to get Danial's attention. 5 minutes later, I gave up and just screamed full blast at him and Pei Xiang. He finally responded when Pei Xiang tapped him and told him.

Did the Capoeira moves in the hado. The energy was really great. Saw Cal

Capoeira is really nice...And if at least 10 people want to take it up, Mr Siow can arrange something with Maestro Silvano. Ooo, exciting, I wanna go!

Slept at 12, with the "promise" of being able to wake up at 9 the next morning. But Syukuri managed to spread the rumour that they would wake us up at 5+ the next morning instead.

Oh, and Mervin came over to sleep.

Woke up at 5 to see Brian, Syihabuddin and the other red shirts packing their stuff and talking in a not-so-quiet manner. So I pretty much knew that the "rumour" was true. Most of our bunk managed to pack up and get down to the assembly area within the 5 minutes because of Syukuri's advance warning.

Cleaned up the campsite, then we were assigned the tasks of building a stretcher. Martelo, my group's one was really simple. Two long poles were slipped through Fadhil's sleeping bag and pulled the bag taut, Syukuri getting on top. Armada constructed a needlessly elaborate and heavy one that everyone paid the price for later. Miss Sheikha and Mr Siow took turns to sit on the stretcher, both times when I was carrying the stretcher.

Miss Sheikha kept screaming like a princess, because Sheikha apparently means Princess in Arabic, for us "Palace Slaves" to go "FASTER! FASTER! I DON'T LIKE TO BE LAST! CATCH UP!" since we were lagging behind because of the weight and movement-coordination issues.

Reached East Coast Park around 9. Built Sand Castles till 1 .50, then went back to school for the last Reflection Exercise and received our CIC Graduation Certificates and RED SHIRTS! AND WRISTBANDS! ZOMGZORZ!"

Ok that was all, but during the course of the camp, i made some new friends like danial, dexter, Pei Xiang, Andrew, Nico, and DAVID LAU(YES if you are wondering its luo wei lun's son)...

*smiles*CONTENTED BUT TIRED
